PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are investigating another armed robbery in Center City that involved a suspect carrying what appeared to be an AR-15-style rifle. The latest incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Sansom Street. Police said a 23-year-old man and two friends were returning home when two masked men jumped out of a light gray or beige four-door sedan with tinted windows. According to investigators, the suspects stole two gold chains from the victim’s neck and demanded his silver watch with diamonds. Police said one suspect was armed with an AR-15 style rifle, while the second suspect was carrying a black handgun. The robbers fled west on Sansom Street. No injuries were reported.
