CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WCYB) — Update: Milligan identified the victims of the bike team crash Wednesday morning. The school said sophomores Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rodgers died. They added that many other cyclists are “seriously injured” and ask to keep the Milligan community in their prayers. ____________ Ballad Health CEO Alan Levine said Wednesday that members of the Milligan cycling team were involved in the crash that killed two people. and hurt many more. Ballad Health released the following statement: “Ballad Health is deeply saddened by the tragic incident involving Milligan University cyclists who were struck by a vehicle in the Hampton area of Carter County this morning. Our prayers are with the victims, their families and everyone affected by this devastating event. The Carter County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that two people died at the scene and others are being treated for their injuries. At least one person is being airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center. The “Trauma surgeons are at Johnson City Medical Center and our teams are prepared to respond.
